Road Paving in Peschiera Borromeo

The road pavement rehabilitation works on Via Mattei in Peschiera Borromeo were completed in 70 days, covering a total surface area of 15,763.78 square meters and serving a productive area characterized by heavy truck traffic. The deterioration of the roadway was mainly due to increased vehicle loads, variable weather conditions, and routine maintenance that was no longer sufficient.

The intervention involved the complete reconstruction of the road superstructure, including the milling of 13 cm of the existing base layer, reshaping and compaction of the subgrade, and the construction of a new pavement structure consisting of 13 cm of cement-treated base, 6 cm of binder course, and 4 cm of wearing course made with hard modified bitumen. The project also included the rehabilitation of sidewalks providing access to the businesses located along the road.

The works were organized into operational phases to ensure business continuity and traffic safety. The construction site involved a team of 10 specialized operators and a fleet of 12 construction machines, including a milling machine, excavators, skid steers, rollers, a bitumen sprayer, a paver, and a road sweeper.

The entire intervention was carried out under the continuous monitoring of a certified laboratory, ensuring constant quality control of materials and final pavement performance. The Peschiera Borromeo project represents a high-performance road rehabilitation intervention, with particular attention to durability, safety, and execution quality.
