A growing Italy bears our signature too

For the 2026 Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio, Industria — the Cairo Editore special published with Corriere della Sera — chose Ronzoni S.r.l. to tell the story of Italy’s infrastructure growth. In the interview, Filippo Ronzoni describes a company founded in 1946 that has doubled both turnover and workforce over the past five years.

Eighty years of history cannot be improvised: they are built. Ronzoni S.r.l. was founded in Seveso in 1946, in an Italy that was rebuilding itself after the war, and in 2026 it reaches its eightieth year under the leadership of the third generation. This is the story that Industria — the Cairo Editore special published with Corriere della Sera — chose to tell for the 2026 Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio, selecting our company among those that have shaped the country’s infrastructure growth.

At the heart of the article, written by Guido Anselmi, is a figure that speaks for itself: over the past five years, turnover and workforce have more than doubled. “Growth is never the result of a single factor,” Filippo Ronzoni explains in the interview. “It is the product of a strategy built over time.” Investment in people, an expanded fleet, a stronger organisational structure — and rising demand for maintenance, urban regeneration and territorial safety, which found us ready.

One integrated company, one point of contact

We do not simply surface roads. We follow the entire life cycle of a road infrastructure: earthworks, demolition, paving, sewer networks, urban development works, bridges, viaducts and landscape maintenance. Alongside these come the services that ensure continuity throughout the year — routine and extraordinary maintenance, emergency response, on-call availability, road signage, snow clearing and waste management. For the client, this means a single point of contact and a standard of quality that does not change from one phase to the next.

It is the model that allows us to work alongside the municipalities and provincial authorities of the Milan, Monza Brianza and Como areas, water utilities such as Gruppo CAP and BrianzAcque, and national motorway operators including Anas, Autostrade per l’Italia and Milano Serravalle. “Working with these clients,” Filippo Ronzoni notes, “means meeting very high quality standards and maintaining an organisation capable of guaranteeing reliability, punctuality and expertise.”

Operational autonomy and a short supply chain

Our machinery fleet is entirely company-owned: we manage every stage of the site directly, from milling to laying the bituminous mix, from haulage through to final clean-up. Alongside this, our shareholding in asphalt plants allows us to control the quality of bitumen, mixes and recycled materials. A short supply chain means steady procurement, control over raw materials and shorter operating times.

Infrastructure is built with people

“Because infrastructure is built with people before it is built with machines.” This is how Filippo Ronzoni explains, in the interview, why training is one of the company’s most important investments. We are partners in StradAcademy, the first centre dedicated to the training and safety of road construction workers, conceived and promoted by ESEM-CPT Milano, Lodi, Monza e Brianza. Making our facilities available, together with leading partners such as Wirtgen Macchine Srl, allows training, technological innovation and hands-on experience to come together.

Awards that recognise a way of doing business

The past five years have brought three consecutive Cassa Edile Awards. The most recent is the Cassa Edile Award 2025, won in the Top Player Company, Fair Play and Dream Team categories, adding to the awards received in 2022 and 2024 and to the Top Supplier Award presented by Gruppo CAP. What matters more than the individual awards is what they reflect: a business model built on quality, integrity, respect for people, safety and lasting relationships of trust.

The road ahead is still long. And we are not stopping.
